More Handwriting Excitement

Just when I was super proud of Jacob, he impressed me even more. In his bag today was a little book about feelings they made in class this week. On the back of one of the sheets he wrote his name, again without his teacher's help, and this time, perfectly done. They aren't even working on writing names yet, and he has the sticks for the "a" and "b" in the correct place. I make sure I keep telling him how proud I am of him to be doing this already. Especially with a boy, I want him to know how amazing it is to be doing such great handwriting at the age of four, especially since he just turned four May 31!
And, then he confused me with the picture on the left. I don't know if he made two, but it's the same sheet as yesterday. He told me someone took his home on accident and they brought it back today. But, both sheets he brought home have his name on the them. But, he never mentioned the one yesterday that was in green, and talked forever about this one, so I'm thinking the teacher accidentally put his name on the green one - Jacob told me the green one is Joey's and this one is his. He painted the boy completely, and he told me that the boy and girl are giants and the little blue and green area on the bottom is where he painted a rocket ship in outer space with the giants, haha. The picture on the right is just another picture he drew during free time in school.
We stopped and picked up some McDonald's and were going to have a picnic outside, but Jacob wanted to come in and watch a show while he ate for his picnic instead. Love these boys to pieces!
Hoping the rain holds out tonight so Jacob can have his first soccer practice that he's been looking forward to. Because of the pneumonia with Joshua, we have had to cancel a lot this week and he has been really looking forward to doing his thing tonight!

  1. Great job Jacob! You are doing so great in school and Grandma and Grandpa are very proud of you. You write your name so well all by yourself.

Joshua is looking like such a big boy now sitting in a chair eating lunch. I'm glad he is feeling better. LOVE YOU BOYS SO MUCH!
