We started our morning with breakfast.

Jacob hasn't been eating very well lately. Again, not normally his personality, so it's not something we have to deal with daily. So breakfast today started with yogurt, a cereal bar, and some pears. But, soon Apple Jacks and Cheerios appeared on his plate as well. This was our first week giving him yogurt that wasn't Yo Baby, and I think he's pretty happy. He loved the Yo Baby stuff, but now that he feeds himself with a fork and spoon, the thicker yogurt that clings to his spoon makes it for an easier (and cleaner) breakfast. It's exciting that he can ask for things he wants now, like when he asked for Apple Jacks ("app jacks") and Cheerios (which he says chips for, but looks at where we keep the Cheerios). Mom and I think that his poor appetite might be going hand-in-hand with the crazy amount of milk he has been drinking lately. So, we'll be cutting back on the milk a little bit until he's had some food down. Lately he's been drinking almost two full cups with each meal. Strong bones!
Then, we "painted." We call them paints, because they are shaped like paint brushes and the tips bend like a paint brush. But, the look like markers on paper. Jacob loves them (thank you, Crayola).
Jacob loves to go and pick out his own crafts to do, since we have them all where he can reach them. Play-doh is a recent favorite. (He does have his diaper on, just ran away before the pants made it back on after a diaper change.)
We ended up meeting my mom for lunch downtown. He was ready to go.
Jacob, again, barely touched lunch. We had a great time, though. He ended up falling asleep on the way home for exactly 10 minutes, which he thought was enough for that to be his nap for the day. Most of the afternoon was then spent trying to decide if he wanted to nap or not. He got some quiet time, but no nap.Luckily, the rain held off long enough for us to play a bit outside again. Although, his little legs must be tired because he wasn't running much! We had some time on the swing, and then he decided the word "pizza" was hilarious, so we chased each other around the backyard yelling pizza and laughing. Loved every second of it!
Later, we took off to spend the evening with my parents. Jacob decided to fall asleep, and since he was in desperate need of a good nap, I sat in the driveway at my parent's house until he woke up. Some dinner at Fazoli's, a trip to Toys R Us (where he made out with a new car from Grandma), and lots of fun with his grandparents, and the evening flew by. He had the best time, and he's becoming quite the comedian.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Jacob and I are going to his Super Hero party at Gymboree tomorrow night!
Cute pics - Jacob sure is a comedian and makes Grandma and Grandpa laugh and laugh. He has such a great personality! We love it when we get to see him!
ReplyDeleteall the stories of course are funny but then I am biased. he looks like a little man walking through the zoo, and having fun in his swing. keep the stories and pics coming.
