Fitness

I wanted to remember, that as of yesterday, I am down 20 pounds!

Bob and I started counting calories and working out January 3. So, in two months, I lost 20 pounds, and Bob has lost 43 or so (not sure exactly as of Tuesday!). It is great doing this together and helping each other out.

In fitness news, when we started Jan. 3, I could run a mile, but it was ROUGH. Last weekend, and again Monday morning, I ran 5 miles without stopping! And, last night I ran 3 miles and cut about 3 minutes from my regular time. Five miles is a huge deal for me - I don't think I have ran that far since before getting pregnant with Jacob.

None of our clothes fit, so we appear kind of sloppy right now, but we are so excited to fit into older things we couldn't wear the past few years, and to need to go shopping this weekend for some new spring clothes! I still have quite a bit more I want to lose, but am happy with the number on the scale for now. Back at a "regular" number. My weight is distributed differently than the last time I was at this weight when Jacob was about 18 months old. I don't know if the c-section has something to do with that or not. But, I feel much stronger, more energy, and healthier. I don't remember the last time we went through so many heads of lettuce, fruit bowls, boxes of cuties, or bunches of bananas.

Looking forward to what the next two months has in store for us! Maybe we can get down to our goal weights by the end of summer!
