Beating the Cold

This March has been COLD, and we have had to get creative to beat the cold and stay sane. This time last year, we were out in the water table getting tan. Now, we have below 30 degree weather and chilly winds. We are SO ready for spring break in Florida it is ridiculous.

The start of March started with Jacob pretending to be a dog one morning. Funny boy.
A trip to the museum on the first Monday they were back open. They are closed Mondays through the winter, but starting in the spring they open back up on Mondays to accommodate field trip groups. We were there for a gecko program. I was SO proud of Jacob. He raised his hand multiple times to answer questions and wasn't shy at all. He even gave them their special "magic word" of "super" for everyone in the program to yell to transform the girl into a super hero.

Play doh time. Jacob making flowers that were pictured on the side of the spring color package.

And it snowed, in MARCH! I got the boys out twice that day to play. It wasn't terribly cold, and we were outside for a total of about three hours that day. They had a blast!

We enjoyed hopefully one last round of hot chocolate.
And we made snow ice cream. I had never done it before. Turned out pretty good, and Joshua loved it. But, Jacob took a big bite a few bits in and got a brain freeze and started crying and thinks it is because the snow is just too cold for him to be eating. And then he went outside and ate a snowball like it was an apple.
