Just a quick recap of a fun, busy week! After Jacob's soccer game on Sunday, we had our first spaghetti dinner with the kids. We normally make penne noodles because it is much less of a mess, but decided to let the kids go for it. Joshua LOVED his spaghetti!
Monday was spent just relaxing around the house, playing outside and enjoying the weather. Tuesday we headed to family music class at Gymboree, where Jacob and Joshua were the only two kids there and they LOVED playing with the instruments and dancing. They had an open play time in their gym room afterwards, and Jacob loved being able to jump into soft mats and running like crazy. Wednesday we had friends over to play, which always makes for a fun morning (and a quick morning!) Thursday was lots of water time with temperatures getting up to 90. Playing in the water table and sprinkler before 10 a.m. is always fun! Jacob figured out how to get himself started on his swing, get himself going and go way high! I am so proud of him for figuring this out all on his own. I love watching him enjoy swinging by himself, and I can tell how proud he is of himself!
Thursday night we used another make-up class to take Jacob and Joshua to family play class at Gymboree. Jacob made a quick friend in this little girl, and they were inseparable the rest of the class.
I can't believe how easy these two boys are becoming, playing so well together and having a good time doing a lot of the same things. I love these boys!
Funny thing - we had Pizza Hut over at my parents' house this week. Jacob looked at the breadsticks and said, "Remember when I thought this was snot?" I totally forgot until he said that, and then I was reading through old blog posts during their nap today and found where I wrote when Jacob asked who snot on the breadsticks about a year ago! How crazy his memory really is!
Jacob has been donig a great job sharing lately, and saying sweet things without us reminding him to thank people for being thoughtful. He is such a sweet boy, and I love his character.
Joshua is saying more and more words, and loves to shout "bird" when he finds one outside. He enjoys waving to everyone with a big, enthusiastic wave, and trying to sing with his brother. He LOVES The Fresh Beat Band more than anything, and will dance like a crazy man to any and every song he hears.
