Joshua...Stay Put!

Well, scary past 24 hours, but so thankful everything is okay. Late Tuesday night I came down with the flu. Bob took off school on Wednesday to help with Jacob so I could sleep. Around dinner time Wednesday I was having trouble breathing and had a lot of pain, so we headed to the hospital to get checked out. Turns out I was having contractions, and pretty regularly. They started and IV and after a few hours the contractions slowed down and eventually went away. They said having the flu probably made me dehydrated, which brought on contractions. Thank goodness for doctors! I have two months until this baby can come! I never realized how much faith I have in medicine though. The entire time I was there, I was of course worried, but knew that there were so many things they could do to make sure Josh was safe. I am thankful for great doctors and access to great medical care. This was such an easy fix, and wouldn't be that way in other countries.

I am also very thankful they didn't have to put me on bed rest or anything! That is a huge fear of mine since I am a stay-at-home mom and wouldn't know what to do if I'm stranded on the bed/couch all day! Jacob has had a hard time the past two days without me running around with him and being my normal self. He's such a good little boy though and has done a great job dealing with his mom being down for a few days.

Hoping for a peaceful 2 months ahead! I'm full-term Dec. 23...but until then, Joshua, stay where you are!
