Each year we have been in this house, we are amazed at how many crickets we find in our yard. It's shocking how quickly these little things breed. I'm not pleased.
The noise produced from lots of crickets - that's a sound I can tolerate.
But just one cricket is enough to drive you crazy.
The noise doesn't normally bother Bob, so I just end up sleeping on the couch a few nights when it's really bad and the noise keeps me awake. But, last night, this one cricket, that I'm guessing was probably the size of a horse, was chirping away like crazy. Finally, Bob cared.
So at 12:30 in the morning, Bob gets up, heads outside and sprays our entire yard with bug killer.
Good-bye cricket.
