Bye, Flu!

Well, I finally had the flu for the first time in, well, as long as I can remember. Jacob's little episode that night turned into Bob getting nailed by the flu early Saturday morning, and me getting it even worse Saturday night and into Sunday. And, unfortunately we passed it on to my mom as well. Sorry, Mom! It was no fun having the flu, especially while pregnant. You get a whole new appreciation for parents once you realize how hard it is to be sick while your toddler is running around like a crazy man all day! But, we are all pretty close to okay now!

In other news, we did have to put Tabby down on Friday night. We miss her terribly already.

Everything else has been pretty quiet around here while we try to recover from the flu-filled weekend. Bob and I took Jacob to the Children's Museum yesterday, and had Gymboree this morning. Jacob cracks us up at Gymboree with how much he tells the teacher and the other parents. He is so comfortable there that it's nice to see him open up and really talk to everyone. And, it's cute that he has a little "crush" on a little girl, Sammy Rose, there. They play together, and he likes to go and stand right next to her. I think he also loves that her hair is normally in a ponytail, and he loves to hold onto one while he sucks his thumb. So far, no hair pulling incident, but he's had his eye on her hair since he was like 11 months old!

Father's Day was suppose to be spent in Connersville to ride the "real" Thomas the Train, until everyone got sick! Now we rescheduled for next weekend - looking forward to seeing Jacob's little face when he sees Thomas pull into the station.
